Alpine Sound System Ram 1500

Alpine Sound System Ram 1500. The alpine system sounds muddy or muffled stock with so much mid sound to me it's annoying. Honestly, i thought the all around sound out of the base stereo in my ‘19 lonestar 1500 had better bass and overall sound than in my 2500 with the sub.

It takes the fixed level audio signal from the back of the radio, and uses the data signal from the radio to give us usable front, rear and subwoofer rca outputs. I just got my 2014 larame with the the 8.4n alpine and hate the speakers.

So i just traded in my 14 tradesman for a 2010 ram 2500 diesel with super low mileage. Highs are much less shrill.

2015 ram 1500 3d limited, 6.4 rambox, 3:92 gears, 8 ply bfg ko2's, b&w turn over hitch.(edit) removing the b&w and installing a pullrite ( don't install a b&w in a 1500 6.4 with a rambox ). This isn't the most apples to apples, but i have the hk system in my ram and the alpine system in my 2019 jeep, and the hk system is worlds better, which is saying something because the system in the jeep is honestly very good (for my tastes)

It just seems like a lot more effort than it’s worth to put an amp and sub in the alpine system from the factory. It’s a great truck until one day i woke up and no sound coming out of the speakers.

I thought the bass in the six speaker system was nuts. I think both are synthetic woofer with rubber surround, and semi dome slik tweeter, but not sure.

The 2013 ram is an excellent platform for a sound system upgrade. Simply go pickup good alpine or other model that you like and replace. Or is the factory sounds system good.
